This is a TED Talk from Hans Rosling on common myths about the developing world. The content is fascinating, but what blows me away is the way he presents his data. His graphs are unlike anything I've ever seen- they totally change the way the viewer sees the data- points plotted on the plane become larger, smaller, move across the axis, and interact with each other, breaking down further into more points of data. If we presented information to kids in schools the way that Rosling presents his information to us, I believe we could more effectively teach children the conceptual behind large amounts of data. I first watched this TED Talk in High School and I was incredibly jealous of his presentation. 4 years later, I'm even more envious and inspired by it. Give it a watch; it will change the way you think.
